enlarged urethar openingFrom: firefly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 6 Dec 1999 00:11:34 -0600 (CST)
Over 20 years ago I had a vaginal hysterectomy with anterior and posterior repair. A few years (maybe months, I can't remember when it started) my vaginal opening was really large. Since that time, the vaginal opening has become quite a bit smaller to where penis penetration is very difficult. Adding to the problem is an enlarged urethal opening. The opening appears as if the urethar is pushing out. There are times that I have trouble holding my urine and other times it is difficult to get the flow started. I started just a few months ago doing the Kegel exercises and they have helped me to hold my urine better. I still leak when sneezing of coughing at times but it is not nearly as bad as it was at one time. Mainly, I would like to know what the urethar problem is and what causes it. Answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. firefly
