Heather, if your doctor is truly racist and you are uncomfortable, then find another doctor! A good doctor shouldn't be racist and if so, should leave his/her opinions to oneself. It's not professional at all to be racist with one's patients or anyone for that matter. Are you sure the next doctor is three towns away? Have you checked with any local hospitals for one that is closer? If necessary, you might want to consider the doctor that is farther away. Or even a midwife. Good luck!
