It's been approved but not specifically for uterine fibroids. Small clinical studies are underway and the U.S. manufacturer of this drug is in the process of working with doctors on developing clinical trials -- possibly to begin next year.

Also, since this was developed as an abortion pill some 20 years ago, it has never really been tested for long term use. Long term impact is entirely unknown.

Perhaps there's a doctor or two on this forum that has more information???
