VaginitisFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 26 Dec 1999 13:35:19 -0600 (CST)
Dr. M. wrote about this very frustrating thing to you before. I went back to the GYN for reeval, cultures negative. I was on Mycolog/(with triamcilone) ointment and put on Nizoral 200mg once per day for 7 days. The ointment caused pain and stinging. The MD changed prescription to Clobetasol ointment twice per day for 2 weeks. When filled the pharmacist stressed this should not be used in the groin/vag. area. MD not available until after the New Year. Have you heard of this prescription given for groin/vag. area? 2.) Can you still have BV with negative culture? Because that is what if feels like again. (Watery, gray-white discharge with burning/itching) 3. Can it be hormonal - could the Premarin 1.25 not be enough for me? If so, what would be next? (40yrs. Post-surgical menopause since 9/99) 4. Can Premarin cream help with some of this or does it need to be Estrace cream? I am trying to educate myself a little with this before going back. Or do you have any other suggestions? I realize not to take this "as law, etc.", we are just at a loss of where do go from here. Thank You for your patience and help. Pat
